Media advisory, Monday, December 17, 2012, 10 am, Headquarters, media gallery, News conference, Police, community help return two abducted children to mother Broadcast time: 05:00 Monday, December 17, 2012 22 Division 416−808−2200 On Monday, December 17, 2012, at 10 am, in the media gallery at headquarters, there will be a news conference to explain how Toronto Police Service investigators, with the assistance of the 22 Division Community Police Liaison Committee, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, Interpol, the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General, the Zimbabwe Ministry of Justice and Zimbabwe Republic Police, helped return two allegedly abducted children to their mother in Toronto. The mother and her two children, along with Chief William Blair, 22 Division Superintendent Jim Ramer, his lead investigator, and members of his Community Police Liaison Committee, will be available to speak about the investigation into the abduction of two Canadian children. It began on September 1, 2012, when their mother reported the case to 22 Division. The now−four−year−old boy and seven−year−old girl were taken to Zimbabwe in April 2012 to spend their summer with their extended family.
